The Jabtex website was bought as part of the purchase of the Crisitex business by Johan Piek Enterprises in August 2007. At the time of the purchase, the site promoted Crisitex Fabric Paints and Jablos Stamps & Patterns. The 4 Friends website (4friends.co.za), promoting the bi-monthly fabric painting booklet with the same name, was also part of the acquisition.

Jabtex, as a division of Johan Piek Enterprises, also incorporating The Crafters Inn (a retail Arts & Crafts mega store in Somerset West, Western Cape - thecraftersinn.co.za) and Craftinn Distributors (Arts & Crafts wholesalers), has, since 2007, developed to the extent that it now consists of 5 divisions:

• Crisitex Paints - a multi-purpose range of paint products
• Jablos Stamps & Patterns
• Jabtex Glues, Varnishes & Sealants
• The 4 Friends publication
• Tascal - the Ultimate Art Paint Medium

Jabtex products are manufactured at its factory in Somerset West and distributed through 4 Depots:

• Cape Depot (owned by Craftinn Distributors)
• Northern Depot (owned by Jabtex)
• Natal Depot (independent)
• Bloemfontein Depot (independent)

These depots distribute Jabtex products to authorized retail shops, tutors and manufacturers.
